My name is Adam and I am obsessed with craftsmanship. I will build you a meticulously crafted website that is designed to turn visitors into customers and is built for speed, security and scale.
I know there are a million web developers out there, but I want to be yours.
When I say “meticulously crafted”, I mean it.
I’m obsessed with building and tinkering with things. Whether its building your website, building a dresser for my son’s nursery or wrenching around on my 1992 Ford F-350, I enjoy the details.
I can tell you the exact size of the standard featured image on this website (1280 by 540 pixels). I can tell you exactly how many dovetails are in my son’s dresser (176, but who’s counting?). I can even tell you the exact color code of the paint on my truck is Sherwin Williams 40423.
I’d like to think my attention to detail results in getting the job done right the first time. I’ve been building WordPress-based websites since 2007 and I’ve been doing it full time since 2009. In WordPress years, I’ve very nearly been doing this since the beginning of time. In all that time, I’ve never spent a dime on advertising. My business has been built 100% by word-of-mouth, and I’d like to believe that has something to do with my detailed nature.
Well, that and the fact that…
Relationships are important to me.
Despite the fact that I spend most of my day locked in the deep dark web nerd cave that is my office, I really do like people. I’ve built and/or maintained more than 200 websites. I take pride in the fact that many of my clients are repeat clients, and I’ve been working with some of them for more than 5 years.
I think every freelance web developer does the occasional one-off project, but I very much prefer to build relationships with my clients. I hope that if I build a website for you, I’m able to deliver a quality product that makes you want to do business with me again.
My goal is to learn about you and your business. If I can do that, hopefully I can help you achieve your goals over the long term.
Will we be a good fit to work together? Its hard to say for sure without talking to you and learning about what you need. I’d like to think we’ll work together just fine as long as you agree that…
Honesty is the best policy.
I am a firm believer in brutal honesty. I’ll attempt to be polite about it, but I always want you to know exactly where I stand and what my intentions are.
If you hire me, you certainly won’t be getting a “yes man.” You’ll be getting someone who will listen carefully to your needs and give you honest feedback. If I believe there is a better way to do something, I will absolutely tell you.
I think open communication is an imperative part of any interpersonal relationship and its certainly part of creating a successful website. I hope you’ll afford me and my work the same honest feedback that I’m committed to giving you.
I’m a pretty simple guy and there’s not much else you absolutely need to know other than the fact that my…
Family comes first.
Like I said, I’m pretty easy to get along with. The only things I really ask of you as my client are that you’re honest with me and – most importantly – that you respect my time.
I’m lucky to have an amazing wife and a little boy who is the coolest thing in my world. Time with them is the most valuable asset I have.
I think I’m a pretty hard worker, and during business hours I have an open door policy. You can call or email me any time and expect a response the same day if not immediately. That said, I will promise not to make a habit of contacting you outside of business hours. If I do, I won’t expect a response until the next business day. All I ask is the same respect from you.
Let’s get to work.
